Perfectly hard lemon eggs for easy peeling
Ingredients:
– 6 large eggs
– 1 lemon, sliced
– Water (enough to cover eggs)
– Ice water (for cooling)
Route:
1. Prepare the pot :**
Place the eggs in a single layer at the bottom of a medium-sized pot. Add enough water to cover the eggs about 1 inch. Add the lemon slices to the water to help peel later.
2. **Bring to a boil :**
Put the pan over medium-high heat and bring the water to a boil.
3. **Cook the eggs :**
Once the water boils, turn off the fire, cover the pan with a lid and let the eggs rest in hot water:
– 6 minutes for eggs
on the boil – 10 minutes for eggs
to the boil – 12 minutes for hard-boiled eggs
