The apple is much more than just a fruit. This fruit offers health benefits that are sometimes still little known. Moreover, according to Justine Delestrées, a doctor of pharmacy and registered dietitian, eating one a day has numerous benefits, as she explained in the pages of Ouest-France. Consuming an apple provides a boost of vitamins since its skin and flesh contain vitamin C, many B vitamins, vitamin E, and vitamin A. This fruit also aids digestion thanks to its fiber content, particularly pectin. These elements "promote healthy digestion and can help regulate bowel movements." Pectin could also contribute to significantly lowering cholesterol, according to a study published in the scientific journal Nature.
