Let's go back to basics. A lunar cycle lasts about 28 days. During this period, a star appears to disappear from the sky and then grows, taking the form of a quarter, a crescent, and finally a full moon. It is at this point that the full moon appears, about two weeks after the start of the lunar cycle. To know when this special event occurs, it's best to consult a lunar calendar. These are usually marked with a white circle. Once this lunar phase is over, the moon gradually wanes and disappears again. This signals the end of the lunar cycle and the beginning of a new one.
