10 Warning Signs of Lung Cancer Everyone Should Know

As October has just ended, cancer is still on everyone’s minds. Indeed, “Pink October” is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the disease in general. As the World Health Organization explains, “resulting in nearly 10 million deaths in 2020, or almost one in six deaths, cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide.

The most common cancers are breast cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer and prostate cancer. About a third of cancer deaths are due to the 5 main behavioral and dietary risk factors: high body mass index, low fruit and vegetable consumption, lack of physical exercise, smoking and alcohol consumption. Smoking is, as you might expect, the main cause of lung cancer. As with all types of cancer, early diagnosis is essential to give patients the best possible chance. Therefore, it is important to be able to recognize the signs and to pay attention to your body.
