I took the object out, rinsed it, and stared at it for a long time, incredulous. It couldn’t be a coincidence—the packaging was sealed, the capsule intact.
How it got there is a mystery. A manufacturing error? A malicious act? I don’t know. But one thing is certain: after this incident, I will be ten times more careful, even about the most mundane things.
